This won’t hurt a bit. I’m from the government, after all.
“This week, the California Senate passed AB 2109, a bill that would require parents to meet with a physician to discuss the risks before being granted a vaccination exemption for their child. KQED reports the bill’s sponsor, who is also a pediatrician, Richard Pan saying the bill doesn’t mandate vaccination or take away parents rights but more simply makes sure parents are making an “informed decision”:

“The ultimate truth is that covering a pre-existing condition is not insurance, it’s a grant.
Insurance is designed so that the insured pays a premium up front, and in return, the insurer takes a financial risk on them. What’s the risk you ask?
Imagine you open a collision policy, and then pay your first premium of $200. On the way home from the agent’s office, you plow into someone and send them to the hospital with a quarter million dollar medical bill. Guess what? The insurance company just lost $249,800 on you, and there is nothing to stop you from canceling your policy immediately after, leaving them with a massive loss. That’s a legitimate risk they take every single day.”

Safe to say doctors don’t like Obamacare if the vast majority of them have considered quitting because of it.
Considering that without doctors we have no medicine, every last letter of this monumental infringement on our freedom has to be repealed.
(Side note: I wonder what the other medical practitioners are thinking. . .)

“But the other thing that strikes me is Julio Frenk’s assertion that creating universal healthcare is necessary for ‘long-term economic development’. Not sure how he worked that out given that countries like the UK and France have done this for years and they systems are both bankrupt and rationing health care. Just for the record, entitlements have never proven to be an economic stimulus.”

Severability means a governing body can “sever” part of a law and the rest of the law remains. These 27 Congressmen are asking the Supreme Court to say there is no severability so if one part is illegal, the whole of Obamacare is illegal. Which it is.

“There were times when he kept me going,” [physicians assistant] Salaverri-Edmonds said. “Just looking at him, fighting for his life so hard kept me going.”

via Man set to go home today after more than year at Fresno hospital – Local – fresnobee.com.
When David Evans needed a hernia operation, the 69-year-old farmer became so alarmed by the long wait that he used an ultrasound machine for pregnant sheep on himself, to make sure he wasn’t getting worse. It was only after repeated calls from himself, his doctor and his local member of parliament that the hospital performed the surgery, nearly a year after it was first requested. Under government guidelines, he should have started getting treatment within 18 weeks. “I was in quite a lot of pain,’’ Evans said of his ordeal in Cornwall, southwest England. “It really restricted what I could do around the farm since I couldn’t lift anything heavy.’’ Across Britain, an increasing number of patients like Evans are facing more pain and longer waits.

“Tens of thousands of patients with terminal illnesses are being placed on a “death pathway”, almost double the number just two years ago, a study published today shows.Health service guidance states that doctors should discuss with relations whether or not their loved one is placed on the scheme which allows medical staff to withdraw fluid and drugs in a patient’s final days. In many cases this is not happening, an audit has found.”
