I love this video.
Superb lesson! Note the “some say” at the end of the story, criticzing Mrs. Jump for making money.
I love capitalism!
Financial mobility is key. We can take our money elsewhere (for now), and that should scare the crap out of any local, state, and federal agency.
Competition among national governments in the public services they provide and in the taxes they impose is every bit as productive as competition among individuals or enterprises in the goods and services they offer for sale and the prices at which they offer them.
- Free enterprise hurts the poor
- Free markets are driven by greed
- Free enterprise breeds envy
- The free market caused the financial meltdown
- Free enterprise is unfair

“Keynesian economics, as it has evolved, is the debunked belief that government can stimulate, direct, regulate and bail you into prosperity. This failed religion is now so thoroughly disproved that it simply cannot survive the collapse of the Obama presidency, except perhaps on the calcified pages of the New York Times. After all, if $5 trillion isn’t a large enough stimulus, what is? And if the smartest guy ever to become president can’t manage liberalism, who can?”
“Rational men glorify God just as glowing candles glorify a candlestick maker; men must behave rationally in order to completely function and prosper—just as candles must hold a flame in order to fulfill their purpose of brightening a room. Said differently, a man that acts like an animal must be as disappointing to his maker as a candle that cannot hold a flame.
I believe in one God, the creator of the universe. I believe that renouncing capitalism is irrational and that to deny reason is to deny the existence of God.”
