Nissan Actually Makes Car Called “Juke” — See Definition of “Juke”

I know I’m a bit late in this particular indignation, however the name of this sardine “crossover” strikes me as symbolic of the day in which we live, and tragic. Symbolic and tragic because this is what passes as transportation people are told they should buy.

At the risk of being an old fogey, in my day “juke” was not a positive term unless you’re the one being juked.

Webster:

juke

verb \ˈjük\

jukedjuk·ing

Definition of JUKE

transitive verb
: to fake out of position (as in football)
intransitive verb
: to juke someone

Folks, we’re being juked into accepting our fate. Manufacturers should be free to build and sell what they want based on consumer preferences, not what the government mandates via regulation and unnecessary high fuel prices.
